I wish everybody have a very happy new year …

Seeing car accidents almost every morning on my way to work is just normal for me after living more than two years here. This time is a little bit strange for me. I saw two ladies with sad face standing behind the one car next to burning car. I left my camera with my brother, so I took my phone and shoot this photo. I can’t understand what makes this car burned.

Last monday, I ordered 16GB iPod Touch 2nd Generation from Apple Store Thailand. I received it yesterday. I was playing around with it like a kid the whole day. There is only one thing make me upset that iTunes does not allow me to register in iTunes store as they mentioned I’m using Debit VISA which is not allowed yet in Thailand. But I did buying it using that card from Apple Thai online store though. So weird for me. Features are so nice especially magnify lens, date selector wheel which I did not notice before while I was using other ones :P. I have new playful gadget in my bag now.

Time goes faster than I think. Today turns 23 years old now. I am missing home and the days I spent my birthdays with my family. Thank friends for your pre birthday wishes.
As you make all your birthday wishes, I wish they all come true. Happy Birthday, brother !!!
I found so many great old photos which are probably taken when our country was colonized by British. Photos are taken in various locations especially Yangon, Mandalay, Irrawaddy and Meiktila etc. It has painting as well. All the photos are undated so I can not know exactly when these photos was taken. It is worth to check out and keep, at least. visit the site mandalaygallery.com to see more photos.

Skype introduces Unlimited Worldwide calls to landlines (include cell phones in some countries) over 34 countries for $12.95 / month. But unlimited calling means
all calls are subject to Skype’s fair usage policy which is set at 10,000 minutes per month (which equates to more than 5 hours of calling per day). Calls to premium, non-geographic and other special numbers are excluded.
as they announced in skype. It is pretty cheap for calling international landlines. But our Myanmar is not included in there. :(

Happy Myanmar new year and Happy Songkran for Thailand !!!

Today is my special day of Myo Kyaw Htun . com. Yes, it is one year old now. I bought this domain on March 12, 2007 and started blogging on April 10, 2007. Actually, I blogged since December, 2005 when my friend, Ravi, introduced me Blogger.com. I deleted first two blogs due to many reasons and started blogging again on Blogger/blogspot in October 2006 named it Myo Kyaw Htun – Personal Blog. I wrote about so many topics what appeared in my mind. Then I started testing wordpress in my local for couple of months before I blog in this site. I created three wordpress themes for free and blogger templates as well. My site got PR 5, was featured in WeLoveWP, was featured in noupe as 60+ Unusual WP Blog Designs under Super Clean Designs and ranked in Technorati’s Top 10K lately. I posted 90 posts including this one and 377 comments received. I have made more than $100 from Google Adsense in this year and waiting for the cheque arrived. I really thanks all of you who visited and gave comments, suggestions and opinions. I’ll change my site design soon and will create free wordpress themes, blogger templates and write more about wordpress tips in future.
Thanks you all and your supports.
I haven’t checked my site stats in Technorati for a while. Today I found that Technorati shows Top 10K next to my site link. My site ranked in 9,368 and Technorati authority was 461 as of April 9, 2008.

What do I say? Is true that my site ranks in 9,368 out of 70 millions blogs? Why my blog ranked ? The only one thing I know is that the result of my wordpress themes that has link back to my main site. And of course, backlinks and my buddies bloggers. Technorati authority and rank did not mean exactly popular blogs, you’ll understand if you read the summary from the Technorati authority post.
Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has.
Technorati Rank is calculated based on how far you are from the top. The blog with the hightest Technorati Authority is the #1 ranked blog. The smaller your Technorati Rank, the closer you are to the top.
Anyway, I’m happy on that.
I just saw very tiny sculptures from Boing Boing called Netsuke. Netsuke (ne+tsuke mean “root” and “to atatach”) which are very tiny sculptures starting in the 17th century in Japan, were attached to traditional robes. They used as Inro, which are cases for holding small objects. See all the Netsuke photos pool at flickr.

WALL-E
I’ve been watching WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) trailers since I saw in Apple web site. WALL-E is the latest creation of Pixar, my favorite animation studio, and it’s directed by Andrew Stanton from Finding Nemo. It will be released on June 27, 2008.
It’s not clear yet whether trailers shown in various web sites including Disney, Pixar, Apple, etc will be in the WALL-E movie or not. But this movie will be one of my favorite movies in 2008. I’m waiting, WALL-E.
WALL-E is the story of the last little robot on Earth. He is a robot and his programming was to help clean up. You see, it’s set way in the future. Through consumerism, rampant, unchecked consumerism, the Earth was covered with trash. And to clean up, everyone had to leave Earth and set in place millions of these little robots that went around to clean up the trash and make Earth habitable again.
Well, the cleanup program failed with the exception of this one little robot and he’s left on Earth doing his duty all alone. But it’s not a story about science fiction. It’s a love story, because, you see, WALL·E falls in love with EVE, a robot from a probe that comes down to check on Earth, and she’s left there to check on and see how things are going and he absolutely falls in love with her.
