Wp Foto theme is single layout theme designed for photo blogger. It uses custom fields for displaying thumbnail in home page, archive page, category and tag page.

Instructions

Create 100 px width and 58 px height image for thumbnail and create a new key under Custom field titled thumbnail. And paste the url of your thumbnail photo.

Wp Foto Theme displays only one post in front page. If you want to show more than one post, you can customize it. To change, find the following code define(MAX_PHOTOS,1) in index.php and change the number 1 to any you want.

I like system tray because I don’t want clutter windows taskbar when I am running several applications. Some applications like Gtalk, Windows Messenger, Yahoo Messenger have that  system tray feature to show in System tray as icon instead of showing in Windows Taskbar. Power Menu is a small utility that can sent application to the system tray. It will automatically add Minimize to Tray menu to the Windows control menu of any running applications after installed. It also has Priority, Transparency and Always on Top features as well. For those system tray fan like me, this is another must have utility for Windows to install.

Saw this “Mingalaba Myo Kyaw Htun” greeting message while browsing my account in Flickr. Flickr always shows greeting message in different language randomly whenever you browse home page while you’re logged in. Many of us are using either wordpress’s default permalink structure http://yourblog.com/?p=343 or http://yourblog.com/2008/09/03/your-post-title. We might probably lose visitors from other sites or bookmarks that links to our posts or even Google ranking after we changed the permalink structure from default. If you are going to change the permanent link structure of your wordpress blog, you should consider to use this plugin called Permalinks Migration Plugin. This plugin will automatically generate 301 redirect when your visitors or crawler when they visit your old permalinks and redirect them to new permanent address. This is a way to tell the search engine that your posts has moved and old address should be replaced by the new one. This doesn’t affect you search engine rankings like Google PR.

• Installation is pretty easy. Download the plugin from author’s site and upload under wp-contents/plugins/ folder. And activate it.
• Go to settings->PermalinksMigration and you will see the old permalink structure.
• Go to settings->Permalinks. And change the permalink structure you want. Done!
